When I listen to music, I listen to individual songs. I don't go by a certain category and pick and choose from there. If I like a song I listen to it. Now, granted, there are a few genres I don't listen to as often like Rap, Jazz and Metal, but I do have a few songs from those genres that I absolutely love. There are also certain genres that I listen to more like rock and pop but then there are some rock song and pop songs that I can't stand. ^^;

So yes, I prefer the songs over genres. X3 As long as it sounds good to me.

Fave if you use, please. :-}

I barely even have individual artists that I like, much less genres.
Apparently most of the stuff on my iTunes is pop...but I hate pop...

I never go by the genre of the music. If it sounds good I will like it. Not for the genre, but for the song only.

I have to say I disagree.

I hate it when people say "Oh I LOVE My Chemical Romance" even though they only listen to one song by them. I say buy albums, not just singles. You're missing out so much if you just listen to a hodgepodge of random songs. I have very many songs, and I only buy albums.

However, buying an album and listening to that is still different from listening to only a certain genre. The point of the stamp is to decide you like a song based on the song itself, not on the style of music it is as a whole.

I have a very wide taste in music, so much so I rarley bother to even check which genre they even are sometimes. I just like the songs themselves, for various reasons.
